Hi all,

I just took my DAT yesterday and didn't seem to find any threads or forums with a similar situation as mine.
I have been studying for the DAT religiously since Winter Break. I did, however, do a Kaplan course in October that lasted until December. I have utilized DAT Bootcamp, Barron's AP Bio, DAT Destroyer, and Chad's Videos.

My original DAT date was set in January, but ended up moving to Feb due to the feeling of not being prepared. I watched all Chad videos in 2 weeks, and then began DAT destroyer. I don't have a really heavy background in Bio, and a very average background in Organic Chemistry. In the sciences, General Chemistry was my strong point.

My scores for yesterday came out to equal an 18 AA
Here's the breakdown:
PAT: 16
QR: 20
RC: 23
GC: 16
BIO: 16
OC: 14
TS: 15
AA: 18

My GC score honestly surprised me because this was a section that I continuously did well in throughout practice exams. OC was very bad, and Bio was aggravating. Every question I was familar with, but I couldn't pinpoint the exact answers.

I am planning to retake in late June/early July, and would like to apply this cycle. My questions are how should I go about studying this time around, especially for sciences? Should I buy DAT Bootcamp again? Will they have the same tests? And, is taking the DAT again this summer too late for this cycle? I was planning to send transcripts, letters of rec, etc, in once the application opened and update my score as well as reach out to schools I am interested in to see if they would accept an unofficial copy in the meantime that everything was being transferred over?

Whats your science GPA?

When are you exactly planning on looking to take the DAT?

Did you take any notes or just read/watch the material your first time through? Can you go into a bit more detail on your studying process the first time around?

I don't think your planned date of retake will be too late for the cycle, and most schools will accept unofficial scores until they're officially delivered (but this can vary by school, so make sure you call them up and ask).
