I took my 1st DAT today and got really killed.... i dont know what went wrong and where...I have already send in my applications to almost 20 schools for next year.. and was just waiting for the DAT scores.. but I blew up...

I am planning to retake within a month's time because the earliest deadline to most of the schools I have applied is Dec 1.... but I just read on the ADA website that for a retake we have to wait 90 days... is that true...and how do i sign up for the retake... again fill that application form on ADA???

It is true that you have to wait a three-month period.

Holy Crap... that means I cannot take it till mid Dec or Jan.. In that case.. what will happen to my applications...

Nothing will happen to your applications. All the schools will receive the info that you sent them. Then they will keep ask you for your DAT scores but you don't have them (or want to retake it). Call and withdrawal your application for this cycle. Retake and apply for next cycle. You will lose your 2G that u spent on ur application. Another option u call the schools and tell them the situation and send the scores after January BUT most of the times the classes are already filled in unless you score really high. Good luck! Don't worry there's always another cycle!

Can I ask the schools to hold my application for now and when I send my new DAT scores... consider me either for this cycle if not then next cycle...

Basically can I use the same application that I submitted now for the next cycle if I inform the schools to hold my application for now...

Nope. You have to fill out a new application for a new cycle. That's how everyone makes $$$ 🙁 happened to me too. I know it sucks

Just retake the DAT and hope for the best since you've already applied this cycle.
