I really need advice. I took my dat yesterday again and got the same score but brought up Chem and qr. I still have an 18aa 18ts with nothing under 17 and 19 pat and I literally can't stop crying. I studied every single day and except when I got sick. I work full time and I could have sworn while taking it that I was killing it. I have 3.59 GPA 125 hours of shadowing less than 100 hours of volunteering but over 600 hours of research and a publication as second author. I'm basically on here asking anyone advice about this. Like most of us, dentistry is a field I absolutely adore. Please don't write on this thread just to tell me I'm not good enough. I really need advice From People Who Are Similar To me. I'm applying very broadly.

Your scores are very consistent and you have a good GPA, I think you have an excellent chance for interviews and acceptances at dental schools. Make sure you have a super strong personal statement and apply broadly. Not all students get 25 plus on the DAT, remember only a few students post scores on SDN , so don't use that as a yard stick. I work with students year round and have seen many acceptances with your GPA and scores.

Wishing you the best..Nancy

Just from a past experience: My ex had a 18 AA, and similar undergrad GPA. Last year, she was accepted into 2 out of 4 schools, waitlisted 1 out of 4 schools, and rejected at 1 out of 4 schools. Keep your head up!
Wow that's great! Could you share where? (If not that's OK too 🙂 )
