I am about to start studying for the DAT but I am not using any sort of class (like Kaplan). I bought the Kaplan book but the problem now is I need to form a schedule of some sorts. I was wondering if anybody can give me an idea of how my study schedule should be.

I also didnt take the class...I started off slowly...four hours a day...and by the time second week of studying came...i was able to do a minimum of 6 hours...I dunno about anyone else but I also found that waking up early and having a good night sleep is really really helpful...
Also...put a plan...tell yourself how much you want to finish everyday and what you want to have accomplished by the end of the week...
And if you fall behind...punish yourself by not doing something you really like 🙂

I hope that helped...

Do you have a specific date when you want to take the DAT. If so, you then need to evaluate how familiar you are with the information and then set a study schedule that will allow you to finish studying by your deadline.

I was thinking that I should take the test around August 15th. My school's fall semester begins in the last week of August so I also want some time to relax and refresh my mind before the semester begins.
