Hey guys, I am currently planning on applying this cycle and I am taking the DAT in August. With this said, does anyone have any advice on what program has the best practice science tests? (i.e., computer practice tests). I already have Crack DAT PAT and the destroyer also.

DAT destroyer is not a DAT-simulator. Its got challenging questions DESIGNED to break you down. Chances are you will get alot of problems wrong the first time you eat through destroyer.

Rumor has it that the 2009 ADA sample test (I think this is the one you buy) gives most accurate estimation.

I thought Achiever's practice tests were helpful. A little pricy, but worth it.

I also found the ADA sample questions to be the most similar to the actual DAT questions. Problem is however, is that there are only a limited number of questions for each section that they give you.

Compared to the real DAT, I thought Kaplan hit closest to the mark. Topscore was a close 2nd. Destroyer was a good study tool but a little bit more advanced than what you would see on the DAT.

ADA practice tests were the best.

Where do you get those? I might want a look before my DAT retake...

I think the chemistry/organic chemistry is similar to the ADA test...and the bio is like topscore

Yeah, my DAT had lots of taxonomy and evolution questions, much like Topscore! Not my strong point...

August is getting late to take your DAT for Next cycel.. You already put yourself 2 months behind everyone else applying earlier. Its good you are looking for information on how to get a good score, but can you Take your it any earlier?? Could also be closer to 3 months depending on when in August.

So is top-score a good decision? I want to purchase something ASAP.

I just found that when I took the achiever test I was getting 17's on my practice science exams consistently and when I took the actual DAT I got a 21 on the science....I remember I got a 17 then an 18 and then back down to 17 on orgo using achiever but on the actual test i got a 23 on orgo....bio i got 15 and 16 and i forgot the last score on the achiever and then I got a 19 on the DAT...and chem I got 17 18 and 18 and I got a 23 come test day....top score I was scoring more consistently and got 19s pretty much the entire time

I know this is a science thread but topscore's reading comprehension is tooooo easy...I got 20's and 21s on those but got a 16 on the DAT :-/

So whats the verdict? FutureDental, it seems like it helped. I dont want something ridiculously hard but I dont want something to easy.
