Hi, I just took DAT and want to know it is good enough to apply or not.

I am an international student and I think there is not as many space for school as citizen so still worry to apply or not because I feels wasting my money on application if I have a not good score.

PAT 22
QR 20
RC 17 (too bad)
biology 20
General Chemistry 21
Organic chemistry 21
total science 21
AA 20

My GPA is 3.295 and I repeat many course (science) so I might have 3.1 GPA for application.
My science GPA might be 3.2.

I had very bad GPA on 1st and 2nd year (2.5) and boost up in 3rd and my last year.

I have one more semester (15 credit) to go to graduate

point is if I retake DAT and get over 22, is it good to submit application on this cycle? If I retake DAT, It would be September and think late to apply. I heard over 22 will get admission from school even GPA is low.
I also heard about Master Program (MA) to increases GPA. which one do you guys think better? (GPA increase by MA or took DAT and get over 22?)
MA is expansive but DAT retake is not expansive relative to MA.

what you guys think?

Your DAT is fine as it's beyond the 17 cutoff. It's the gpa that's holding you back, but I would still apply this cycle.

Which schools have a 17 cutoff
Where is everyone getting this Info from regarding cutoffs. I contacted many schools (at least in the east coast) and none of them mentioned that they have cutoff scores

It's the SDN cutoff. Later on when you post about acceptances and all that jazz you will be asked if you had any scores under 17. You are on a website of overachievers, we want to see big boy scores. You want to get 18+ in everything (except qr) to show the school you are well rounded. Just so you know there is a ton of reading in dental school and a 17 RC is below 50%.
