I just took my dat. And I am wondering should I retake it or nah.
AA 20
PAT 21
Bio 16
Gen chemistry 19
O chemistry 18
Reading 17
Math 30.

Thanks.

I personally would retake, as bio and RC are two of the most important sections. There's certainly a chance for you to get into a school with those numbers but I think retaking would be the best course of action.

I would retake it only if I didn't have a 30QR...

that's a brutal decision to make... good luck with whatever decision you make 🙂

I'm jelly of your 30 QR but the BIO is too low 🙁. If english is your 2nd language, RC can be explained to be honest. Good job on PAT too!

Although your AA is good (20) and you got a ridiculous QR score (30), your individual scores are fairly scattered. I'm not an adcom member so my opinion is meaningless, but I think scoring sub-20 on all your science sections is going to give you a lesser consideration than other AA20's with balanced scores.

Still, I think its worth it for you to apply this cycle.

I know, my scores are kinda low. I am wondering whether admission office will look more at AA or TS. I probably will contact the admission office. Thanks

I am not too familiar with the application process in the States. In canada, you usually have until november to take the DAT, but I heard from the grapevine that in the states, the earlier is better?

If it is too late to retake for this cycle, I would sit tight with your applications and wait and see. In the event that you do not get accepted, I think a rewrite would be a good idea. With a 30 in QR, I'm pretty sure you are a VERY capable individual, with some solid speed test taking skill/strategy. Now you just have to translate that your other sections.
