My story: Post Bachlors in Business (3.75) GPA. Now Dental Major GPA is 3.70 also. Haven't taken Physics 2, Bio-chem, Micro-Bio, or Genetics.
I will take Physics 2 in Summer B. Plan to take Bio-Chem and either Micro-Bio or Genetics in fall. Does anyone know which is more preffered?

As for my DAT score, as you see, its pretty Avg. Do I have to take it again?

physics II is more preferred sinc emost schools say you must have 2 semester before applying. the rest i'm pretty sure could wait until fall.

i think your DAT scores are good. you GPA is way above average so i think yoiu're good to go! congrats! 😀

Depends where you apply. I think you could get into a number of schools with your GPA. Like you said, your DAT is avg to maybe a little below avg in Bio. (Great job on Organic). But it's all about selecting the right schools to apply to. I wouldn't recommend only applying to Harvard 😉 So let us know what state you live in, where you're applying and how many hours you've shadowed.

Also, as far as which class to take, I'm not sure there is a preference between Micro or Genetics. Check the schools you're applying to though and make sure they don't have one or the other as a requirement.

You're AA is a little low. A bump up of 1 or 2 points in a couple of sections would definitely help. However, I think with your GPA you should get in somewhere. As far as the classes go, I have been told to take Micro and BioChem as well as anatomy and physiology classes to broaden my background since I don't come from the traditional science background. Good luck! I would only retake the DAT if you think you can do better and just had a bad day. You sure do not want to do worse.

Thanks a lot for your 2 cents, for they are very valuable.

Yeah, i'm definatley taking Physics II in summer B. I took Physiology and Anatamy already, but feel Bio-chem and Micro bio/or genetics would make it look sweeter.

However, I'd rather work and get some extra cash before dental school. 🙂
