I didn’t do as well as I wanted obviously. Not sure what happened in some sections so I’ll most likely retake but..

OC: 20
GC: 17
RC:21
QR: 17
PAT: 20
AA: 19 TS: 18

It’s just too “meh” for me. I’ve got a 3.7 gpa 3.5 science.

It is difficult to say whether or not a retake will be necessary. I recommend that you contact the schools you are interested in applying to, and ask the admissions committees their opinion as to whether or not it would be beneficial for you to retake the exam. You may consider sharing your GPA with them, so they can attempt to evaluate where you stand. You could also ask the average DAT score of accepted students at each school to have a reference point. If you feel confident that you can do better and you have the time to put into studying, a retake may be the best option. Good luck!

You have a very nice GPA and with a higher DAT score, you could open the door to many more schools. If you have a school in mind you want to attend it is best you call them directly with your stats.

Retake it! hope that didnt sound mean or too blunt but i strongly believe you should! Dont give dental schools any reasons to not admit you. Getting accepted is already hard enough and the process is way to competitive. There are many students who prob dont get in with higher dat's and similar Gpa's. bottom line, dont risk it especially if you have the opportunity to fix past mistakes

If you are aiming for top ranked schools, (USCF, UOP, Upenn, Columbia, Michigan, etc.) you should retake it, but with your stats, i think you have pretty good chance for lower tier schools! Re-taking would be stressful and time consuming, so if I were in your shoes, I would not re-take it and focus on the application & personal statement. Good luck!
