Real DAT:
BIO 20 (89.5%)
GCHEM 20 (80.8%)
OCHEM 21 (86.7%)
PAT 18 (66.8%)
RC 21 (76.5%)
QR 20 (88.3%)
TS 20 (86.9%)
AA 20 (86.1%)
Practice Scores (in order taken):
BIO/GC/OCHEM/PAT/RC/QR
Kaplan Blue Book 16/17/18/18/22/19
Topscore Test 1 20/16/13/17/21/20
Topscore Test 2 19/19/19/18/--/20
Kaplan CD 17/19/21/19/--/--
Achiever 1 18/17/16/16/--/--
Achiever 2 16/17/15/17/--/--
Achiever 3 15/16/18/17/25/21
Topscore Test 1 PAT - 23 (again)
Topscore Test 3 17/17/18/21/22/20 (3 days before test)
Topscore Test 2 PAT - 22 (again)
I know they are not the "spectacular" scores that every1 has been posting up but I just want ppl to see some more representative scores.
This is what I thought of the test and review materials:
BIO. It was def more detailed than I expected. I think it is on par with Topscore though. Schaums was really good for bio and I think the Kaplan Blue book is def NOT enough unless you remember a lot from your science classes. Achiever was good practice.
CHEM I thought this was MUCH easier than I expected but I didnt do as well as I had thought so I must have made dumb mistakes.
ORGO Not too bad either. Kaplan is enough for GC/ORGO (just know some extra reactions like Diels Alder)
PAT, RC, QR I thought I would get in the low to mid 20s for all 3 but I got lower again (esp math). I didnt really practice for QR or RC. Angles for the PAT were def not as bad as people have been mentioning but I must have gotten a lot of those wrong cuz of my score. I had been taking all the tests on my laptop (screen size: 1400x1050) so it was nice cuz the PAT figures looked huge compared to what I had been practicing with. Barron's helped a lot for some of the PAT.
Overall, it wasn't too bad and def easier than any practice test (as you can see by my practice scores).
Here is some info about me:
GPA: 3.94 (overall) 3.91 (BCP/Sciences)
Undergrad School: Drexel Univ (philadelphia, PA)
AADSAS: Submitted 7/6 Mailed 8/9
Applying to: UMDNJ, Penn, Temple, NYU
Do you guys think I should apply to more schools? And is my PAT score okay?
I'll be happy to answer any questions if you guys have any.
Thanks SDN! This site really helped me find the best study materials and get the best tips for the DAT.
