Hi everyone, I took my DATs this morning for my first time and I did not do as well as I wanted. Actually I am pretty disappointed. I don't know exactly what I should do right now. What are my chances and should I even send in my application this year? (btw im really low on $) Or should I take my test over which would be in 3 months and apply still? or apply next year? Please help. Thanks.

If your GPA is over 3.7, i think it's good idea to apply to up to 5 schools.

Hmmmm, the part where you say you're low on $ makes it difficult. If I were you and I didn't have any cash problems I'd definitely apply this cycle and schedule a retake. But applying this cycle means you need to submit an AADSAS application fee + secondary application fees + the registration fee for your retake.
If you think you can afford all this, definitely apply. And when applying, try to choose your schools realistically. Obviously, it's madness if you apply to schools like Harward with those DAT scores. So, try to visit www.predents.com, or purchase the ADA book and check out the average DAT/GPA score for applicants who got admission into various schools during the last cycle. This way you will have an idea about the schools with which your scores match.
I think if you choose your schools wisely and schedule a retake (provided that you'll do better on the next exam) you'll still have a chance during this cycle.

Good Luck👍

I forgot to tell you my gpa isn't all that great as well. I got a low 3.1 gpa which is not good 🙁. So how are my chances now? Slim?

I have the ADEA guide with all the statistics and saw that Boston U has a DAT [AA] range of 17-24 (mean=19) and a GPA range of 2.53-3.96 (mean=3.17) from their 2008 entering class.

Other schools that might be in my capabilities are UOP, Tufts, UNLV, Temple.

Not sure about Tufts and Temple. But I know one of the determining criteria for UoP is a high PAT score (which you have) and a high RC score (which you don't have). So, your high PAT score may indeed give you a shot at UoP. UNLV's 2008 entering class had a mean DAT score of 18. But I think their 2009 entering class shifted the numbers toward 19 (Double check this on predents.com). One thing I do know about UNLV is that they are a state school, so they primarily give admission to Nevada residents. So, in order to have a shot at UNLV you must submit an early application, and even then you might not have a good chance due to residency restrictions. On the same note, you'll have a better shot at UoP, because they are a private school and don't have residency restrictions like that of UNLV.
But remember, no one (including me or any other member of this forum) can guarantee whether or not you'll get admission into a particular schools. We're all looking at bunch of numbers and stating our personal opinions.

NYU. The PAT is pretty solid, it could make up for some of the other scores.

Retake IMO. Your gpa is low so you need a solid DAT score.
