Hi everyone,

I am finished taking the DAT and am not as happy with my scores as I would have liked.

PAT: 18
QR: 18
RC: 18
Bio: 22
GC: 23
OC: 21
AA: 20
TS: 22

I am happy with my science scores, but not so much the rest. I was doing really well on the CrackPAT and all of the practice exams I've taken but I ran out of time on the actual DAT (not sure why, nerves?) and didn't even get to pattern folding. I think I got discouraged and it affected the remainder of my testing.

I don't know if it would make sense to try and take it again, I am not really strong in QR to begin with and RC is really hit or miss for me (I was scoring between 17-25 on practive exams). But I am happy with my science scores. My GPA after this semester will be around a 3.68-3.7 for both cumalitive and science which I hope will help me. Of course I would love a shot at some of the more competitive schools but I'm a little discouraged by my scores. Advice would be very helpful 🙂

Those are pretty solid scores. I have almost identical stats. It all depends on where you are planning to apply whether you should retake in my opinion.

RC is the only worry point, but you are above cutoffs. Speak to your top picks and see if this would be fine with them. QR isn't a big deal. PAT can be but again speak to your specific picks to make sure an 18 in PAT isn't too big of a deal for them.

Those scores are definitely pretty competitive for in state schools.

If your heart is set on a OSS, a retake wouldn't hurt.
