I took my DATs last summer (pretty early) and scored a 23 AA, 24 TS, 29 OC, 24 GC, 23 Bio, 20 RC, 17 Math, 17 PAT

I will applying this summer for dental school but am wondering if I should retake the DATs.

I am really happy with my science scores but am afraid that my PAT/math scores are going to throw out a lot of options for me.
At the same time, I am worried that if I retake it my science scores are just going to get worse

Does anyone have any suggestions or know if schools will still look at me with the 17 PAT/math?

I'm actually really good at math and got a 5 on the AP Calc exam and a A in Calc II in college but freaked out after bombing the PAT section so did not really perform to my full ability on the DAT

As for the PAT section, I was simply unprepared and the real DATs are very different than Kaplan...

With a 23 AA / 24 TS I'm 100% positive they won't care about 17s in QR / PAT both of which are largely overlooked in quite a few schools.

Definitely don't need to retake! 😛

You don't need to retake it.

If you retake that you would be insane. QR is the least regarded section...and PAT is weird too...my school said they didn't even look at PAT.

most schools have a cutoff for scores, and its generally a 17 or lower (except for a few "elite" schools). Unless you have your sights aimed real high I would not retake. A 23AA/24TS is absolutely outstanding, and I guarantee schools will overlook your cutoff scores.
