I just took my DAT's and have already begun filling out my application. I know this is really late but im applying to about 15 schools. Im from NY. These are my scores:

Do you guys think I have a chance this late in the application process with my scores???

you have very nice scores for next cycle.... in regards to this cycle, I have no idea.

But if you got the extra cash, I say go for it. Oh... and word of advice, applying to 15 schools will cost you (between aadsas and 2ndary fees) about $2500. So if you apply this year, and you don't get in and you apply again next cycle, thats $5k down

Thanks dentalworks I appreciate the advice. I think Im gonna go for it 😀
Hey Dude,
Congrats have no doubt you won't get in. Great scores.🙂 I hate PAT Section.Could you please provide me with some tips on CDP angles and key holes. Any help I would be greatful to you. Thanks in advance.

Good scores, make sure you check the thread on which schools are done giving out pre-dec interviews and also schools pre/post dec interview ratio before you spend your money.
At this point i would not apply louisville because those are done with pre-dec and they don't do many post-dec
good luck

wantVCUdental where can I find this thread of schools that interview post december?

DR2009 check it out Im gonna give you the best advice I can for the PAT section.

First part: Use the soda can crushing method. Look at every side of the three dimensional object. Never assume something on one of the sides unless u see it. For example if you see a hole but its not penetrating the entire piece then the whole will not appear when u crush the object.

Second part: I believe that the hardest part is understanding the end view. Understand that the end view is simply the right side of the object. Mentally push the end piece so that it fits into the right side. Practice this and youll see it sooner or later. Hopefully sooner though.

Third part: I cant really explain how to do hole punching. The way i practiced this was i cut out small squares of paper and drew 4 x 4 circles. I kept folding it with different combinations until i got it.

Fourth part: Angles are really difficult on the real PAT. i used to pretend that they were either open laptops or birds and i would pretend that im trying to peak into the screen and how hard it would be depending on the angle size. This is simply practice.

Fifth part:Tally it up and try to have time to go back and check it over.

Sixth part: I thought this part is so easy i really have no way to explain it. I just pushed the pattern forward and saw what it would make.

Good luck hope this helped

Thank you so much. I like all your tips. Hopefully t work for me too.👍

you are from NY-

id say you have a great shot at NYU without a doubt. For smaller schools like SB, it will be much harder, given your time and your stats.

If and when you do apply, keep that in mind as well. You most likely won't get acceptances on Dec 1st, so I would say whether a school has pre-december interviews or not does not matter much at this point if they have a bigger class size.

Unfortunately, it takes most schools about a month to review your application after they have marked it as complete- I learned this the hard way.

Best of luck to you tho, I'm sure you'll get in somewhere, esp. with that PAT score!
