Hello, here are my DAT scores; This is my second time taking it and I did better in all categories except for QR...

PA 17
QR 12 🙁
RC 21
BIO 21
GC 19
OC 17
TS 19
AA 18

Do U think I'll still have a chance with such a LOOOWW QR? Would they care a lot about the QR score? HEELP!!! My overall GPA is 3.541 and my science GPA should be a little more than that...

Your scores are alright...but that's about it. Your GPA is good. I think you will most likely get in somewhere, but if you want to have a lot of options I would retake it and try to up the QR. Good luck 🙂

I think you definitely should retake the DAT. From reading previous posts, it seems like that most schools have a cut-off score and I think 12 is way too low. Just make sure you do lots and lots of practice!!! Your other scores look good though. Best of luck! :luck:

I think you should retake it. Although QR is not as heavily graded as the other areas of the DAT, I think a 12 is way too low. You have the GPA on your side so now, take that QR to at least a 15, that should be enough. Good luck

The QR is too low. I would bet that most schools will not accept a 12. Therefore, I think you need to retake the test and get it up at least a few points.

Everything else looks fine.

Not sure about a 12, but my scores were similar to yours with a 15 on the QR. I only had one or two people mention it on interviews. If any, the QR is the place to score poorly. But, again, I am not sure if a 12 is too low.

I would NOT retake it.

Your overall scores are fine and probably average (18/17) and your GPA is good as well (3.54).

Sure that 12 is low, but the QR section doesn't matter one inkling in dental school.

Your other scores and your GPA prove that you aren't ******ed. In my opinion, any school that wouldn't grant you an interview based solely on a low QR score is probably a school you don't want to be affiliated with for the next 4 years of your life.

(and now my personal two cents: I doubt most schools will even notice that score. I've seen the applications that come across our table and there simply isn't enough time to nit-pick them to death. An 18/17 will make a cutoff at schools and so will your GPA. Don't waste your time retaking the DAT when you might end up doing WORSE overall)

You might be right, My QR score was crap, and still managed to get in
