Just took the DAT today. I was nervous about the PAT because of all the posts, but it wasn't that bad. I really blew it with the Quantitative Reasoning section, I think i just ran out of gas because it is usually my strongest section. Are these scores good enough to get into schools?

PA - 19
QR - 15
RC - 20
BIO - 20
Gen Chem - 20
OChem - 17
TS - 19
AA - 18

Applied - UW, UF, Case, Tufts, BU, UB, Creighton

Goodjob, what did you think about the test itself. How much did you study and what materials did you use. I'm taking it later this week if you have any suggestions that would also be good.

Yeah I'm also taking it later this week so any last minute advice/study tips would be greatly appreciated. I'll be sure to post my impressions of the test when I'm done for anyone who's interested.

Everything was pretty much what I expected. I used the Kaplan, Barrons, and Topscore stuff. Like I said, my PAT wasn't that bad, and make sure you pace yourself with the math. I think I should have just practiced more. I knew how to do the problems, I just ran out of time.

The scores look good but there is more to it. You have to realize that your GPA and EC activities play a big role in acceptance to dental school. I think if your gpa is good then you'll be in.

If you don't mind what were your topscore/kaplan averages for the test?

Thanks!

If you're not a Washington resident or WICHE applicant, but seriously consider UW, you might want to re-take the DAT. I had 20AA and 3.5+ GPA. They told me I was average for outstaters. I didn't even get a secondary.
