I just want to ask a stupid question. How is the score calculated and what the maximum score is in DAT? What score would be considered to be good? I have seen someone said in SDN there are only about 10-20 people could get up to 24 each year, is this true?

Do the math. 24...99%...10-20 people...2000 take per year? no.

I do think there's a DAT inflation, though. I wonder what percent  ?

To answer your question, 30 is the maximum score in all of the sections (even though you can get a 28 or 29 and not miss one problem).

The average scores for students being admitted into dental schools is anywhere from 18-22 (Harvard).

I have seen quite a few people on here alone that have gotten 24s and above so it's safe just to get a 26😱

This isn't 100% accurate but in my experience, it was a very good way to gauge how well you were doing.

It not only tells you how each section breaks down, but also the corresponding percentile for each score. Now again, it's not 100% valid for EVERY test...but it's a good estimate.
