If you take the test in January, you would still get the unofficial score right away right? If I am reading this right, it won't impact actually taking the test, correct?

• January 20, 2012 to January 30, 2012 – No score report requests will be accepted or processed.

what the heck is this mean ?

bump... Does anyone know what these changes mean particularly the "Tests taken January 3, 2012 to January 29, 2012 – No official score processing will occur." I think i might call tmmrw or tues to find out.

This means that you will get the score but the process is going to be done late so you will get the score later than when you are supposed to get. Otherwise it's the same.

I thought we get the score right away after we take the exam? I had a question about this. Also, does anyone know exactly when the DAT "blackout" date is. I am planning on taking it Jan 17, 2012 ... will I be affected by new questions, etc. ?

Umm..why would you be affected by new questions? This is not even mentioned on the webpage ha. Relax dude. If your applying next cycle, which you probably are, its not going to affect you in any way. The only students who would be affected are those who are taking the DAT during this date and want their scores sent out, which I doubt anyone is doing because it's so late in the cycle. I think thats what they are saying ha.

I just called the ADA asking them about the system blackout. You will only be affected if you are applying this cycle, writing your DAT during the given dates, and need your official scores sent to your designated schools during the specified time frame. The questions and style of the test are not "changing", so everyone can stop tweaking out.👍 ( I am writing my DAT during the blackout dates and you guys had me nervous as well ha).

👍

thanks for clarifying!

I apologize for over-speculating and thanks for the info.. It has been a great help. Good luck on your DATs!!! 🙂

Taking my test on the 8th....

So I'll still get my score immediately after finishing..

right..? right guys? *gulp* I think having to wait would drive me insane.

That shouldn't change. It's standard at all testing centers. What changes, from what was posted here, is getting the official report sent to whatever schools you have chosen.
