When is the prime time to take the DAT? Do most take it a year before they transfer to a dental school? Would it be better to take it right after sophomore year, when the material is fresh is our minds? Most people would have just taken their organic chemsitry, biology and general chem classes not too long ago ...or would waiting one more year allow more time to prepare?

I am going to take the DAT next summer, after my sophomore year. I will be done with all of the pre-reqs except for physics and biochem. I will study for at least two months over the summer before I take it sometime next August. If I do not do well on it I will take it again right before applying to dental school. You should take the test when you feel that you are ready!
