I am referring to dentalworks and Ari's guides, of course. I saw a few people mention that some things have changed since dentalworks' was originally posted, and that some of the material is no longer relevant as credible sources for some material.

Has anyone recently taken the DAT and can vouch for either study guide still working well? And which one seems to work better?

It still is relevant. The changes to the DAT seem to be rolling out very slowly. And you'll like cover the new emphasized materials within your normal studying for the DAT, it just looks like a shift in focus

Is that guide what most people end up doing? Or DAT Bootcamp instead? Or a combination of the two?

There just seems to be a great amount of resources and information that is, quite frankly, overwhelming when trying to just find out which materials would be best. It seems to be pretty sporadic and it worries me that I will be following something that won't prepare me as well.

Also, which testing materials are the ones people use most? I saw that even on that front there is a large amount of content from various different places.

Make sure you start with the 2009 and 2007 DATs from the ADA. Then work from there based on weaknesses

Gen Chem: Chad's videos then Destroyer/Bootcamp
O Chem: Chad's videos then Destroyer/Bootcamp
PAT: Bootcamp
Math: Destroyer/Bootcamp
Reading: Bootcamp

What I did was look at the majority of the people who scored very well on the DAT breakdowns and tried to find the resources that were rated highly or were used in many breakdowns. I then bought most of them (still have yet to buy practice tests and destroyer). The DAT looks tough, but because all the resources have been tried and true, I feel like it is all up to the person studying to put in the work and do well on it 🙂. (btw I haven't taken the DAT yet so take everything I say with a grain of salt)

you dont have to panic, you'll get good advice here

i used ari's guide to start me off and then once i got into the rythm i made up my own schedule

definitely use chads, feralis, cliffs and destroyer for studying
for practice tests destroyer is a must, then use bootcamp and qvault for extra practice

you should be golden with these resources

you will do great just study hard and stay focused...good luck! 🙂
