Hello, I am a sophomore that will be taking the DAT in the winter 2010/early spring 2011. I wanted to do this so I would have a lot of opportunities to retake it if I do poorly/do not meet my expectations. I have done a little research on what the best materials to have as well as asked a lot of my pre-dental (soon to be dental) friends on what their opinion is. Here's a list of things I consistently saw that was used by people who took the test:

DAT Destroyer
Kaplan Review/Blue Book
Cliff's AP Biology
DAT Achiever
Crack DAT PAT
Topscore Pro
Chad's Videos
MATH Destroyer

Is there anything that I would find helpful? I'm fairly disciplined and would like opinions about the Kaplan Course (in-class or online), Orgoman Organic Chemistry Odyssey, Crack the DAT MATH (better than MATH Destroyer?), Barron's vs. Cliff's, etc.

Thanks!

I would not do the Kaplan course if you can study on your own.

Organic Chemistry Odyssey has a lot more organic questions than the DAT destroyer. Most people don't have the time to go over it. It does seem like a lot, but it gives you a lot of trick questions. These trick questions are important as they help you learn and check if you really understand everything. If you have 4 months and want to be super prepared then go for it. I only have 6 weeks so I am not buying it.

You have Math destroyer, so I don't think you need to get both Math Destroyer and Crack DAT Math.

Stick with Cliifs Biology. Don't need Barrons, etc.

Just get the stuff you have in the list. That is what I would get. Also order the ADA exam from the ADA for $30. There is also a free one online (which is different from the one you order).
