So school is over this Friday for me and I plan on cramming for the DAT. I would really like to make the first batch of applications because my GPA is kinda low. That give six weeks exactly to cram for an approximate June 7th DAT date. Do you think it is possible to do extremely well cramming for 6 weeks? Or should I study an extra few weeks and be a later batch?

I have a low GPA (3.06 BCP and 3.15 overall) but I have an extreme upward trend with all upper level science classes with 3 semesters of 4.0s. I know it's a long shot, but I am applying with the hope that there is a miracle and if not, then I will reapply again next year after I have even more upper level sciences under my belt. Any advice would be great! I'm extremely scared right now because I know I'm running low on time.

There's no need to pressure yourself. Some people have studied for 2 weeks and get incredible scores, some take 12 weeks. You know yourself best and if you can handle 8 hour days of intense studying back to back, or if you need to spread it out a little to be more effective.

You can take the exam in July and still be fine, so there isn't a problem spreading out the studying. You have plenty of time on your side. I'd even take a week off after school ends to relax. Just read a bunch of breakdowns, build your own study schedule, and order your materials during that week.

+1 to what gator said.

I suggest you try to build a realistic study schedule then register for the DAT accordingly. If you feel you aren't ready as the date approaches, you can always push it back, but it's not cheap. I don't remember the exact time table, but if you reschedule within a week of your exam, or something, it costs $100. I ended up rescheduling a few times and, while I got an OK score, it cost me. So try to set a date that is realistic and not overly ambitious. Good luck!

Take a look at my breakdown and it might be of some help. Especially since you are going to go hardcore mode for the DAT and that is exactly what I did. Anything else, let me know.

I started studying for my DAT mid May. I studied for about 54 days. I took the DAT mid July and did pretty good. However I had to push my DAT back 3 times. Anyways that was my story. You'll know you're ready when you're absolutely sick of studying and want to get it over with already. Try not to push it back too much though.

Check my breakdown. I gave DAT in 39 days including the day if the exam. If you are just dedicated to do it, it's possible.
