Hey I'm currently studying for the dat and going to take it July 5th....i'm concerned because im reading the kaplan blue book and it literally takes me 4 hrs to read one biology chapter....i've already read through the gen chem and orgo parts but i could read those much faster...I'm worried because i don't think I'm remembering everything....or am ijust freaking out does anyone haev any good studying tips to try to remember all teh info??
thanks

Can't you move it to another date? If you know you are not retaining the information and need more time then rushing through the chapters isn't going to help. You will end up getting a bad score and pay to retake it again.

It's better to read and take simple notes then go back multiple times rather than once. For me writing it down like taking notes was pretty fast and the things I didn't understand I would mark them with a note and return later.

I take notes but leave a blank space at the far right of the page, about 2 inches or so. After taking notes go back and for each line with info on it write a question about the material. Then when you go back to review notes you are quizing yourself and not just rereading over and over again. Questioning yourself is much more productive and helps you remember much more than just thinking "I 'll remember that". Just give it a try and see if it works. It works for me. Good luck
