Hey, so here's my position: I'm currently at a canadian university, expected graduation is spring 2013. My cGPA/sGPA are both expected to be around 3.89 after this semester. I'm planning on applying this upcoming cycle, but I have yet to write the DAT.

I was planning on writing it the first week of June, which should hopefully should allow everything to be processed with the first batch of applications. However, I haven't started studying yet and won't be able to until the end of finals, which is April 24. I'm also going to be working full time doing clinical research after the semester ends.

Is that going to be enough time do you think?

I have a pretty good grasp of basic sciences (have taken several upper level cell bio, genetics, immunology, biochem, microbio courses as well as gen/o chem, calculus) but have never taken any anatomy or physiology.

I don't think I'm going to have time to use multiple study guides/programs, so can anybody recommend a single, comprehensive study program that should do the trick? DAT destroyer perhaps?

I also need to top up my 40 hours of shadowing during this time.. haha so any help would be great. thanks!

If you have a good science background I think you can do it, it will just take a lot of perseverance. You'll have to be prepared to study for basically as much as possible after work since work will take up most of your time. I would make up for it by studying a ton every Saturday and Sunday. The only thing that will really cause some problems is trying to rack up 40 hours of shadowing with a full time job. Not only does that really cut in to your studying time, but if you're working 9 to 5 M-F then you will have a tough time trying to find someone to shadow. I don't think I would want to do it, but if you really want to, you'll have to work your a** off and be extremely efficient.

and DAT Destroyer would definitely be a must in my opinion. Just try to focus on your weakest subjects since you don't have much time
