I am taking my DAT tmw. Any suggestions?

I am doing very minimal light studying looking over some stuff, today and getting an early night's rest. Test is at 2:30 and I think I"ll sleep at 10:00 wake up at 7:00

As for the scrap paper/board you get to write on...i heard you only get 2 right when the test begins. Sometimes i run out and need more, well do i have to get up and get more while the TIMER is running? I want to somehow get more without it costing my time.

and why is it that DAT scores are given right after? i know the mcat u get it a month after and the gre you get it right away. but what makes this scoring system different?

From what I heard, when your board is full you raise your hand and let the proctor know and he/she brings a new one and exchange it.

You get 2 boards that are laminated so you can use the front and back. You also get a very very fine tip WET erase marker. I reserved one board (front and back) for PAT and the other for NS. I ended up not using it too much for NS. I set up tables for PAT and the letter choices and boxes at the top. I found that it was more than plenty because the marker was so fine. If you find that you're going run out soon, you can raise your hand when a proctor comes by and they will switch out the board. I would definitely recommend switching out both boards during the break after PAT, so you have enough room for RC and QR. Just keep an eye out for the proctor if you feel like you're running out, but I wasn't even close to running out. You don't have to lose time because proctors will be walking around to make sure you have enough boards.

As to the scores, yes they print it out for you after you're done. Not sure why this scoring system is different. MCAT may take a while because of the writing sample, but I could be wrong.

Good luck! Stay positive, keep timing under check, and stay calm! You'll do great!

Good luck!!! And I think the MCAT has to have someone grade the essays, since the DAt doesn't have essays, scores are calculated instantly. To my knowledge at least.
