I am taking the DAT tomorrow and I was wondering if anyone that has taken it recently could give me a heads up on anthing that caught you off guard or was particularly difficult. I am a little worried about specifics in bio. To prepare I have just gone through the Kaplan book and reviewed some old notes. Any feedback would be great.

ajsmo,

first if all, good luck to you.

secondly, DAT tests tend to vary a lot, but generally, for Biology, be clear on cell respiration, circulation, nervous, excreion (KIDNEY) systems and endocrinology. i had lost of questions on blood and circulation and one random question on anatomy. for chem, know the acid/bases and the reactions well. as well as the trends on the periodic table. i recall having 2-3 questions of reaction being spontenous or non-spontenous, so know the Gibbs free energy formula well. as for Organic, you should have a good understanding of all major and minor reactions by now. just review SN1/SN/E1/E2 and their respective solution.

and most important of all, DO NOT study anymore today after 4 PM
