I am taking the DAT wednesday and am disappointed with my topscore scores because of the time I have spent studying. I have noticed that many people go up 2 or 3 points on the real thing compared to topscore. What actual scores should i predict?

Kaplan TS1 TS2 TS3
AA 18 19 19 19
PAT 22 22 24 22
QR 18 16 19 18
RC 19 25 22 25
Bio 16 19 18 18
CHEM 16 15 18 20
ORGO 18 18 19 18
TS 17 18 18 19

And Crack PAT: 20/19/21/21/22/20/22/22/20/24

The kaplan test I took about 2 months ago before i started studying.

The scores I am shooting for are: AA 19/ TS 19/ PAT 22/ QR 18/ RC 22

Possible? how will my practice scores compare to the real thing?

that looks exactly like what I was scoring pre-DAT. Dont worry about it. Topscore really underestimates your score. Honestly I wouldnt be surprised if you got my scores.

I am retaking it on Tuesday. I have similar scores 19-21 TS and AA average on topscore. Last time I took the DATs i didn't use topscore and had a 21TS and AA. Look at your mistakes on topscore and read more about it. I am retaking it for PAT only but still gotta study for the whole damn thing. 🙁

TopScore consistently gives testers a lower score than they end up getting on their real DAT, because its pretty much a tougher test. That was what happened with me and I was pleasantly surprised on test day

im up on wednesday too.... =/ the scores you're aiming for don't seem to be all that high, if you dont mind me asking, what do your gpa's and extracurriculars look like? good luck!

Yeah scores are just above average matriculation for Indiana. I am applying to like 5 schools, but in reality, my best shot is IU and if I get accepted, that is where I am going: cost/ family/ etc. Maybe go to Nova, buffalo, or Marquette, but probs stick to IU (my fiance is going to get her doctorate at Kelly school of business if we go to IU, if not to many school lones for out of state)

My gpa is 3.9 sci and overall maybe 3.88 overall. I will give a full breakdown wednesday or thurs, but quick overview...

I am finishing my undergrad in total of 3 years - - 20-21 credits/semester 15 over the summer, double major bio and chem.
ECs- President for Mortar board (senior Honor Society), Historian for Pre-Med club (no predent club on campus 🙁 Historian for Alpha Epsilon Delta (pre-health professional honor society) student coordinator for freshamn judicial boards, Honor Council, Campus Judicial Board, Residential assistant, TA/tutor for chem department, Research with inorganic professor. Bylaws chair this year (sigma Chi) Scholarship chair last year. Tons of hours shadowing. Spent two weeks in nicaragua for a medical mission trip where i did dental work for like 80 hours. Martial arts instructor since i was 15. A bunch of national awards for sculpture. the list goes on. LOR from a very well known dentist (he taught at USI for like 10 years and has 50+ publications, said to be the most well known maxilofacial researcher. . . didnt know that when i started shadowing.

I am confident enough with my application. And my school has an excellent reputation for producing dentists (there is only about 2 or 3 a year). All i need is a 18-19 on each section and I am golden.
