I have a month left for my DAT and I have taken 3 practice exams so far and my scores aren't very good. I am using the destroyer for practice, but I don't seem to learn much from it. What can I do in this month to improve? I have been studying for a while now.

Go over the questions that you got wrong and understand why the answers are the way they are.

What I did is used the DAT destroyer the most. I got many questions wrong on it. In the end I went back and went through every little detail on how to get the correct answer for each question.

This really helps with confidence and plain old problem solving. There's a difference between memorizing the answers and knowing the answers.

I was averaging 16s on my sciences, 18s in math and pat, and 19s in reading. About two and a half weeks before my exam I posted a similar thread on SDN and a lot of members suggested I push back my exam date. I took the 2009 version a week before my exam and averaged a 17 🙁. I decided to push back my exam by three and a half weeks because something was obviously wrong with my studying.

With all this being said, the extra three weeks I took has drastically boosted my scores in my remaining practice exams. I think a month for you is enough time to see a change. I agree with gnieff. Make Destroyer your bestie and do not look over look the bio section. Going through the destroyer a second time is honestly what started to turn everything around for me. I haven't taken my exam yet but I feel a lot more confident at this point. Go through it twice and understand the answers and re-watch all of Chad's videos +do his quizzes. You will be surprised how much you miss the first go around even with good notes.

Finally follow up with Bootcamp and Qvault and make sure you pay attention to the explanations. Hopefully this helps!

Go through Feralis notes Destroyer and CrackDAT. Pay extra attention to things you didn't know or remember. You will be fine.

Also when you use crack dat do the unlimited angle problems (helping me a lot)
When you use the destroyer; read the explanations carefully. Another tip; when you see questions in the bio section where you know it's all of the above (comes up quite often) understand that you learn so much from those questions by reinforcing many micro topics at the same time. Don't be that dude who's like oh all the above all the above all the above.
