hey guys, just wanted to know what is stressed on the DAT chem portions,more specifically what are key things to know about pH, solutions, and kinetics, thermal, and electrochemistry?

Key things to know are whatever are in Kaplan..nobody ever knows what exact questions the DAT will throw at you so best be as prepared as possible and study everything in the book. Offhand though I can say you need to balance equations for electrochem, know oxidation numbers and which species is the reducing/oxidizing agent etc..also g=-nFE..
 
Everything that I encountered in the g chem and o chem sections of the DAT had been covered by Kaplan. Get nice and familiar with that book - it will be of tremendous value come test day.
