Date attended at college (AADSAS)

So, I attended my undergraduate school from 2007-2010, when i graduated and got my degree. Then, in 2012 I took several summer classes at the same school.

Do I put my dates attended the university as 2007-2010, or do I create to separate entries for the same school? Like 1) UCX 2007-1020, 2) UCX 2012


I have the same issue with a junior college which I took classes from sporadically starting freshman year of high school to just under a year ago. And also with my local state college, where I took some post-bacc classes through open university once during Spring 2011, then again during summer of 2012. Do I put I went there from Jan 2011-Aug 2012?

I think that would be the safe thing to do. Have two entries for the same school you attended at different time periods. Send an email out to AADSAS just in case.

Hmmm.. I'll have 7+ entries for my junior college then. I only took classes there off and on throughout high school and post.

Also, wont that make it so I end up with duplicate matching forms for the same school?

In that case I think it would save you a lot of time to just reduce all your scattered times of attendance for that school into one entry. It would also make your app seem cleaner and less like there is too much going on. Shoot an email out to AADSAS to be on the safe side.

Is every course you took just on one transcript? If so, I would just do one matching form because otherwise you might get duplicate coursework put in.

It'll be clear from the semesters you input where you took a break and where you resumed school. I think the whole years attended x college is just a guideline anyway because they'll be looking at the courses you took semester by semester.

Longcat, I was wondering the same thing yesterday. Now that the ADEA site is back up, here is what they say about the date of attendance

Date of Attendance Enter the beginning and ending dates of attendance, or anticipated end date, regardless of gaps in attendance.

If I remember correctly, you just enter the one institution and under that institution you can add each semester's course work separately. I know I did not add a new institution for each time I attended. Just entered several time frames/semesters under the one school.

Just read the above post. I guess I'm way off. It's been a year. Lol but I knew I didn't enter the school more than once because you only want one matching form. 😉
