Date for "application mailed out" changed this morning???

Hey I was just wondering if anyone else noticed this on their AADSAS. I checked my "mailed out status" today and it recently changed the date.

Originally mine was mailed out 06/29/09 and all of a sudden this morning it changed the date to 07/02/09, which I havent heard of anyones mailing out on that date. Im not complaining really because at least it got mailed out early but anyone else come across this?

6/29 was when your electronic copy was sent out
7/2 was when your hard copy was sent out

Can dental schools begin reviewing applications electronically? Or do they have to wait until the paper application arrives before you are even considered?

I think they do cuz I got my NOVA secondary on I think Tuesday and Im sure they didnt receive it and open it over the 4th of July holiday but I could be wrong, they might be wayyyy faster then I think but I think they did it electronically.

Yeah mine changed from 6/29 to 07/02 as well. It shouldn't be anything to worry about, b/c I remember Buffalo sent me an email on 7/3 stating my application was received.

It means that the hard copy of your application will be sent out tomorrow.... apparently sometime yesterday mine changed to 7/8/09 (which i never saw) but now it says 7/17/09 which is the date my application will be sent out as a hard copy...

I've already heard from couple of schools saying that my application was received, so the change doesn't really bother me!

Ya I called AADSAS about the EXACT same thing today because last night it said my app was sent out to the schools on 7/8 but this morning it said 7/17. The lady at AADSAS told me they sent our my app electronically to all the schools on 7/8, and that they also send a hard copy of my entire app to all my schools on the date recently listed (7/17).


So it's really nothing to worry about, I guess AADSAS just sends your app electronically first and then by mail after to ensure your app gets to the school.🙂 Hopefully we all hear back for secondary apps soon! I actually sent the processing fees for many of the schools 2 weeks ago.
