My new DAT scores are 18 AA, 21 BIO, 15 RC, 14 QR, 23 OC, 17 GC, 20 TS, and 19 PAT. Can Rutgers SoDM accept my DAT scores. Do Rutgers have a cutoff for the DATs. Does 15 RC meet the cutoffs and what about my 14 QR?

Unfortunately you will need to apply for a retake again. Both the 15 and 14 will put you below the cutoff and the with three score 17 or lower there are just too many red flags. Do you mind me asking what resources you're using? Perhaps I can offer you some advice on how to go about studying for a retake.

My version came to be difficult.

Last I recall Rutgers average DAT was pushing close to a 23. With an 18 AA I don't think it will really even matter if they have cutoffs, that score is likely too low to be competitive.

For Bio Destroyer and Bootcamp. For GC Destroyer and for OC Destroyer and Bootcamp. RC used Qvault, DAT primer, Topscore, Genius and Bootcamp. For Math Destroyer and Bootcamp. For PAT just bootcamp.

I'm assuming you used chad's videos for chem and cliffs for bio? Your science scores are actually pretty good, you just fell short with QR and RC. What happened in those sections if you don't mind me asking?

Unless you are bearing a 4.0 with some extremely good EC the best course of action is a retake. A 15 in RC is a big red flag to schools because RC and BIO tend to be most representative of how you'll do on boards. Some schools you could get away with a 14 QR but with a 15 RC you have a very low chance for an interview. If you must apply Meharry in Tennessee. What do you think led you to such a low RC? Is English your first language?

English is my second language. I was born oversees.

QR was the most difficult section a lot of quantitative analyses questions and for the RC just spent too much time in one question that is S and D method.

This will hurt you greatly. Being fluent in reading is vital to a career in dentistry. Perhaps look into a speed reading class, and start reading scientific journals everyday! Read through cliffs AP biology as reading and bio practice. Don't give up but that RC score and QR score have to come up to 18 to be competitive

I wouldn't recommend waiting till the last 2 weeks to study for math unless you feel as though that's a strong area for you. However with two weeks I would try to not focus on things you know and really tackle problems you don't know. Take a few BC practice tests and see what you're struggling with and find those types of problems online or in destroyer

Not all of qr section were those types of questions. Quite honestly I wouldn't worry about them because those were the easy questions on my exam. Just go through Bootcamp and math destroyer and that should be sufficient

I kind of started studying for QR already tbh, but I wanna give up so bad. I watched chad's, but when i jump into math destroyer (taken 3 tests already), I can only get 20-25 correct 😳.

Yeah QR is daunting. The best way to learn it is to take it one test at a time. Do the test timed. Look back over it and mark the ones you don't know how to do. Then read the solutions and YouTube the type of problem it was and watch a video on that. Then google some practice problem for those type of problems and do it. Do this for all the problems you miss and after about 5 math destroyer tests you'll be pretty prepared. I got 18 on qr but I started going that about a week before my exam.

Thanks, I'll definitely incorporate your method

In my neck of the woods, Quantitative Analysis refers to basic analytical chemistry with heavy emphasis on standardization of solutions, testing for percent yields, etc.

If you didn't use MATH Destroyer, you messed up. How many years have you been taking the DAT? Are you still enrolled in college? In a Master's program?

I'm sure you're a nice guy, but being able to communicate is the most important thing a GP can do. If you can't listen to your patient, both verbally and non-verbally, you will NEVER be a good dentist. It may be time to think about another career. Lots of careers require less money than dental school and are just as stable, if not more. Computer Science comes to mind....

If you absolutely love teeth, have you thought about Dental Hygiene? Dental Assistant? Just some ideas.

I wish you best of luck, I recommend reading Scientific American articles, find science articles online, keep reading as much as you can daily.

Keep up the hard work and remember your dream of becoming a dentist
