I am currently trying to decide between OB/Gyn and FM, and am interested in the combined OB/FM residency at UC Davis (boared in FM only but good operative OB training it sounds like). Applicants must interview in both departments, OB and FM. So, my question is this essentially: obviously the OB department will then know that I have applied to this combined program, so will this significantly hurt my OB/Gyn application if I am also interested in OB/Gyn at UC Davis? Does anyone know anything about the specific dynamic at this institution? Thanks for your help!

I have questions about this program to (asking on behalf of a co worker): IF someone still wanted to maintain some aspects of family medicine Maybe even to some hospital based work for a practice), LOVED OB, but absolutely hated gyn, does this program seem like the ideal fit? This program from the curriculum seems that it gives way more experience than a 1 year fellowship, they give 17 months of OB not to mention things like breast clinic and MFM/clinic months. I would love to hear some input from some OB residents/attendings especialy if they have any experience with this program in particular.
