Is there a website or resource that has detailed accounts for exactly how each specialty goes about performing their duties? I realize each doctor and each hospital is different, but any perspective would be useful. I've found some posts here or there on the things neurosurgeons do, but little on other specialties.
Anyone else interested to know the amount of hours worked, time spent on procedures, time spent on paperwork, etc of our potential careers? Too often do I hear of people matching into things only to find out the day to day life is drastically different than what they shadowed.
I'd also be interested in reading about doctors in group practices vs academic medicine (which is all I'm exposed to as a 3rd year)
