Hey guys, I was just wondering if anyone else is interviewing at DCOM on Feb 2nd. This is going to be my first interview so far, so I'm excited to get this process rolling. I do have a few more interviews lined up after this one too, but it'll be nice to actually take part in an interview.

Any words of wisdom or advice that I should know?

Thanks for the help.

Hey, why don't you just PM Doctormom, she's gonna be all over this one!!!

Aren't ya mamma???!!!😍

LMAO!!!! You are too funny! Thanks!😀

I am leaving to go take an organic chemistry test now, but I would be happy to answer a detailed PM when I get back. If the OP doesn't PM me, I will post all kinds of helpful info on this thread when I get home. I am out of time now though. The babysitter just got here. 🙂 :luck:

You might look through some of the DCOM threads...Inviz was asking some questions just the other day about the interview day.

First word of advice? Relax...you're gonna like it.

You're such a nerd doctormom...😛

My impression of you and your kids:

Kids: "mommie mommie, im hungry!"
Doctormom: "ask your dad, im on SDN!!"
Kids: "but dad is working, and im hungry!"
Doctormom: "I told you, I gotta respond to these messages, go make yourself some meatloaf!!!"
Kids: "But im only five, I don't know how!"
Doctormom: "Well start learning, cuz when im in med school you gotta make ur own!"

hahaha... JK DoctorMom, im bored at work! Peace! 😍

You'll be meeting with an awesome group of people. Relax and have a great time. The questions were not difficult, the tour informative, and the people wonderful! You'll do great! (I am waiting to see if I am accepted!! 🙄 )

To everyone going to DCOM on Feb. 2nd be aware there is now a winter weather advisory for the Harrogate area for the next few days including the posibility of freezing rain, sleet, icing, and snow of up to a few inches.

LMFAO! How did you guess? Are you stalking me?:scared:  :meanie: I actually haven't been online as much lately because my kids are home with me most of the time now and I have started packing for Tennessee. BTW, I am totally a nerd and proud of it! 😉

Anyway, to the OP:

First of all, everyone at DCOM is really wonderful and down-to-Earth. I am sure you will love it. My interview there was really relaxed. I didn't get any really hard questions. Make sure you can answer the basics, "Why DO, why DCOM, etc." Lunch is kind of an unofficial interview. It is a way to get to know you a little bit better in a relaxed setting. Most of the day is a presentation about the school. The personal interviews only last up to about thirty minutes, although mine was maybe ten. You will be interviewed by two people. The best advice is just to relax, be honest, and be yourself. Good luck with everything! Feel free to PM me with any questions. :luck: :luck:
