Deadline for dental school acceptances?

Is there a definite deadline --not withholding more than one acceptance? I am still waiting for my financial aid packages. Anyone know?

I was just thinking about financial aid today (it's been on my mind lately) and unfortunately I wasn't in a position to call my school about it either. Financial aid - oh wait! There is that spare $200K in my pocket! Guess I don't need it after all! 😛

Some schools have a meandering process that can virtually lead up until the first day. The financial aid director at my school sent out a letter over a month ago detailing expected need, available aid, and a comparison chart of alternative private lenders including interest rates, contact info, repayment terms, grace period, eligibility, etc.

Also, a personal budget worksheet was issued to help calculate expected expenses for the school year. Believe it or not, my financial aid was pretty much a done deal about three weaks ago.

However, this depends on how ahead of the game the respective financial aid department is and the aggressiveness of the student.

In my opinion, the earlier the better because some markets are more saturated than others and presumably will require more time to find a residence for the school year. If you don't receive some sort of literature by the end of May, I would definitely contact the financial aid department. I hope this helps. Take care and GOD Bless.
