Hey guys!! had a quick question for you all. Im planning on taking the DAT and sending inthe application about mid july. But my recommendations wont be in till August. So will this effect my chances of getting accepted?? I mean, do the schools wait to look at your app until after all the recommendations are in?? Any help is appreciated. thanks in advance.

The recommendations arriving in Aug., even late Augest is not too late. The schools I contacted with all told me not to send the recommendations without the committee letter (I told them I would get that), and Aug. is fine for them to consider Dec. 1 admission. However, yes, you are right. They won't look at our applications if it is still not completed.

why did they tell you not to send it without the committee letter? I thought having individual letters would suffice.

how do you guys send the letters?? through Adsas or individually?? i tried sending it through adsas last year and one of my letters didnt even make it.... i want to try doing it right this year so was wondering how people handled their letters....

I am having all my LOR's sent to my pre-Health Advisory Committee at my University. Then, they will send them off to each school that I apply to free of charge. The Committee will also be interviewing me and give me an evaluation.

Check with your advisor and see if you have a Pre-Health Committe at your School.

savvysearch, the reason they told me not to send my recommendation until committee letter coming out was they wanted me to wait until I got that letter. They asked me if there was any pre-health committee in my school and if I would get the letter. I told them I would receive one. That is the reason they wanted me to wait. If there is no pre-health committee in your school, I think you can just send out all of your rols.
