Accepted to UPenn but unfortunately did not receive the scholarship...is it possible to perhaps receive this somewhere down the line (if someone with the dean's award decides on another school)? Anyone have any personal or anecdotal experience with this? I'm interested how long it will take to find out.

Theres a chance. You have to wait until the 2nd round of deans scholarship recipients make their decision on Penn. By second round I mean, those that were offered it after some people from the first batched turned it town.
The second round recipients deadline for a decision is mid Jan. So you can expect the 3rd round (if someone actually turns it down) shortly after mid Jan.

I talked to Corky about this yesterday and she said that there were only a couple of people left for the second round and if any of those turned down, she highly doubted they would have a third round until after the second deposit date on April 1st. So you would have to commit without knowing if you will get the scholarship

Hey baseball player, thanks for correcting me on that. I was assuming they were doing it the same way they did after the 1st round.
Good call
