Can we please have a sticky for "Should I apply DO"/ "DO Stigma"/ "MD=DO" threads. There are tons of them going around right now.

There already is a sticky at the top about MD vs DO threads. In one post it tells you everything you need to know. In the FAQ are some additional answers.

I hate to sound harsh but this has really been beaten to death over the years. Please, use the search function and look at all the threads over the last ten years because nothing new has turned up in all that time.

If you still want to discuss it in a calm manner you may do so, but there will be zero tolerance for any "bashing" that takes place.

i dont think his point was to find out more about DO vs MD threads. JPC is saying that there are tons of new threads that are currently being formed on the topic, and if we could condense them into the sticky thats already there or seomting

Yes, it is closed because it has the answers to 95% of the questions that have been asked ad nauseum over the last decade. MD vs DO threads really get you nowhere. Stickies are limited and are reserved for useful information. They are not used to keep silly debates on the front page.

I vote that SDN instantly close all MD vs. DO threads. If someone has a specific question about a certain MD SCHOOL vs. DO SCHOOL that's different, but there are rarely any MD vs. DO threads that don't end up with someone bashing DOs.

Of course, my vote doesn't really count, but seriously mods, why encourage this behavior. These threads go the way of URM threads - ugly.
