Hey guys, if you get a December interview, like December 4, when should you expect to get a acceptance/rejection response from the school????

yea thats what i am guessing. I looked on predents, at last years cycle and it seemed like they usually notify candidates about their acceptance 15-20 days after the interview, i am sure these were really qualified students, since the response was really quick. but I am guessing about 1 month on average..anyone else have any opinions or suggestions???

I think its about 3 weeks too. I would hope they notify you before the 45 day period so you can include them into your decision making process, otherwise if you got into a school Dec. 1st, it may be a tough decision.

I have asked a couple of schools about this. The general answer is it depends how often the admissions committee meets. Obviously if the meet weekly you will know sooner than if they meet monthly. Most of the answers I got were vague but it seems like there is a decent chance you will know before January 15th.

Okay here's a question: If you get an interview invite now (from a non-#1 choice) and get to pick the date of the interview, do you stall and schedule the interview after december 1st, or do you push it through and schedule it before dec. 1st?

I wanna know what you all think... is there really a difference between a Nov. 24 or 30 interview and one on let's say Dec. 4th? Most of the adcoms at the schools I know about are meeting next week to make their final decisions for acceptances/NTBC/etc. to be handed out dec. 1st.

I'm going to say that's not the case for Louisville and UNC because I have interviews next Friday and Sat for both 😀. Actually I know it's not the case for UNC because they have 64 kids coming that Saturday. I'm thinking the decisions will be made between Nov. 23 and Nov. 28 (the final work week before Dec. 1st.

Like anything, it depends on the schools. MOST schools though hand out post-dec interviews in bunches, so yes, there is a big difference between Nov. 24 and Dec. 4.

At many schools, the Dec. 4 interviewee won't hear about an acceptance until mid to late January, which is when the 2nd round of acceptances are usually handed out.

VERY late in the cycle, during Feb/March interviews, people usually find out if they got in within a week, sometimes as soon as the next day (I remember someone on this forum got rejected from Midwestern the morning after his interview).
