Hi there,
I was wondering if someone could help me with my concerns about my GPA. In my first year, I got all A's, but I transferred to an Ivy League school that was more challenging. So, I'm going to list my math/science courses here (my school has A+, but I removed them where applicable). Most of my other courses were A's, with some A-.

My transcript GPA for this school is 3.80, but that is including A+, so it's somewhat lower than that. I think my overall science GPA at this school becomes 3.62, and with my first school included, it is 3.72.

So... where am I standing with this? Does it just look bad that I had a 4.0 as a freshman at another university, then transferred and have lots of B's? Or do I get some grace for it being a harder school? Not sure of MCAT yet.

I'm confused. You disclosed your GPA as 3.7-3.8.

Yeah I think I was confused too. But so... my overall science gpa is above a 3.7 if you include the 4.0 at my first college, but at the university I transferred to only, it's around a 3.6-something for the three years I was there. The cumulative gpa is a 3.7-something at the school I transferred to... hopefully that made sense, let me know if I can clarify more

You're fine. Your AMCAS GPA will include both the previous and current college. People get into good schools with a lot lower GPAs
