Georgetown all the way. Better/equal fit for your interests, 50% tuition scholarship, closer to family. Prestige difference is there, but not ridiculously large. Georgetown can get you where you want to go
They are not in the same league. Don’t pick a place because of health care policy or whatever, you go to med school to match into your desired specialty. The rest is all fluff. Decide based on that. If you think you might be interested in ENT, go to Michigan. Amazing surgical programs abound there.
I'd talk to Michigan about scholarship matching or making the prices closer. I'd agree with sriracha in that Michigan is a much stronger program and rep. Georgetown may have a slight policy edge, but even there Michigan is no slouch and the Ford school is strong. I'd say proximity to partner is the real x-factor here. Is close proximity same coast or same town? If the latter it could be worth going Gtown if you want to prioritize your relationship, if the former flights to Detroit are cheap and easy from the east coast.
