This one kind of depends. I’m open to returning back to CA in the future (residency and/or beyond) but am willing to stay in the East Coast if we like the area.Is the long term goal to match in CA to be back with family and get support with the kids?
Gotcha, if you were gun-ho about residency in CA, I would recommend Loma Linda or Creighton. Being geographically close would be good for networking with desired programs and save you money on costs for away rotations (flights/transportation/housing).Thank you guys for all your input!

I wish they would tell use the median indebteness. The few folks that get full ride scholarships or have parents that pay the tuition in full really pull down the averageAverage debt might say 250k, but usually most people pay the sticker price.
what do you mean by that?Average debt might say 250k, but usually most people pay the sticker price.
See the response above. It is a meaningless number. Georgetown for example costs around 400k. They have not been known for being generous with aid. Do not expect it to cost 250k based on that statistic they provided.what do you mean by that?

This was what I was thinking as well. This may be a more accurate assessment of what I will likely pay for. I will not be getting any family support during medical school, and my SO is planning to work during my 2nd year.I wish they would tell use the median indebteness. Yeah Hackensack seems to be the best deal, particularly if you end up doing the 3 yr program and/or the urology research fellowship (if that specialty is something you feel fairly set on). This was what I was thinking as well. Creighton: ~$109K/year full COA (assuming no scholarships)
Hackensack: $73k tuition - $25k need based aid = $48k tuition alone +COL
Georgetown: $74k tuition + COL
Loma Linda: $67k tuition +COL
Decided to go to GUSOM!So where did you end up going? I saw on the Georgetown thread you got off the wl, congrats!
