I feel very fortunate to be able to decide between OT Programs for this Fall. I am accepted to University of Alabama Birmingham and Georgia Regents University/ Augusta University. I am currently as SC resident - so could get instate at either one for the second year. Anyone out there been in a similar situation? Any PROS and CONS or first hand details of each program to help make my decision? I keep going back and forth! THANK YOU!

Congrats on your acceptance. I'm interested in applying to UAB next year. If you don't me asking, what were your stats like and what was the interview process like? Thanks for any information you are able to provide!

Congrats on having several choices, how exciting! I'm not sure I am understanding you correctly, but in most states you can only establish residency for the sake of in state tuition if you have lived there for a year for "non school reasons". They are typically pretty strict, you usually have to meet a number of requirements and file taxes in that state after working for a year as well. So you probably wouldn't be able to get in state the second year since the first year was for school reasons. My husband moved to Illinois for med school and he cannot get instate tuition at all, but since I moved here a year & a half before my school started & worked, I will be able to! I just wanted to encourage you to further investigate this so you fully understand the financial aspects of the school you choose! I could be wrong about the places you are going but this is definitely the case in Illinois!
