They're all the same. Pick whichever is cheapest and has the best sort of linkage to the host med school. Skip any two-year programs. Add points if one of these programs is closest to your support system.Hello,
I'm currently a senior graduating from a big university in Texas. My cGPA is 3.5, and sGPA 3.3 with my MCAT 499 (first time I took it back in August, and I haven't retaken it since - sort of shook my confidence as my practice AAMC tests gave me 510-511 score but the real thing resulted in a much lower score). I applied to 6-7 SMPs, and I'm having a hard time deciding. I have gotten responses that told me to just focus on the MCAT, but the reason why I want to do a masters is to build better studying habits from undergrad.
Accepted:
Tufts MBS
Tulane MBS
Rutgers MBS
Drexel MBS
Waiting:
UNTHSC Medical Science (seems a bit bleak now, but is my top choice as it is in-state; though if you have insights as to whether doing a masters at a DO school will weaken my applications to MD schools, please let me know).
TTUHSC El Paso Post-Bacc Certificate: upcoming interview this Friday
Drexel Pathway to Medical School
Thank you in advance.
