Hi All,

Sorry if this is the wrong place to post. I'm unsure where to post it. There's a few schools I applied to that were on my ADSAAS as None and then switched to "Received/ Application Complete." I have not heard a yes or no back from either for whether I will receive an interview. In general, is this a bad thing? It never said "Under Review," so I'm starting to feel like I just didn't make the cut or they didn't bother reading it because slots have filled up? Any insight would be great, thanks and good luck y'all!

This is probably a post for pre dental general thread (I Think).
It's up to the school whether they even decide to update ADSAAS. A couple of my schools still do not say "under review."
The cycle just started. You should not be worried.
If you did not make the cut, then you will be receiving a rejection.

oh my goodness. it is September 4th and you are asking if all the seats are filled? There have been multiple threads with others asking this and the answer is absolutely not. NO, they can't give out acceptances until December 15th. It is still super early in the cycle for even interviews. A lot of schools don't update aadsas. Just be patient and trust the process. If you don't hear back bay the end of September or October then you can start to worry but even then you could still receive interviews. There is such a thing as post December interviews which are very common.

Hi, I wasn't sure that I was asking if "all seats are filled" per se, I guess I just meant all possible interviews and they won't accept any more. My apologies (first-time applicant). Thanks for the reassurance, I guess everyone is a little nervous and over-analyzing things.


Also, how do I move this to the right forum? Don't want to annoy anyone or it get deleted? Sorry I'm an somewhat of an SDN n00b in terms of posting.

you're good, you can just leave it here. If a moderator wants to move it they can.. But yes it is still early and if you would prefer to do a what are my chances thread, you can fill out the template and post in that subforum.. that'll give us a better idea of what type of applicant you are and how you compare to others..

I agree with 2thDoc, but don't worry I'm also guilty of over analysis nowadays. What helps me is to get distracted with something else that requires a lot of care and attention. A bit random, but starting to care after indoor plants since the start of summer has kept me distracted, although you could substitute that with a lot of things. When you get busy there will be times you'll even forget you applied to dental school!

Thanks guys! I actually did post on WAMC and got some really good feedback. Good luck to you all. And that's actually really good advice @TenaciousPreDent! I think my job also allows me too much free time (receptionist) and I need to stop refreshing my ADSAAS portal / email. It's unhealthy.
