Hey y'all,

I am posting for the first time in a long long while. I desperately need advice regarding what to do? Any input will be much appreciated.

Following are the stats:

I applied for Pedo post match and have not heard back until a couple of days ago. In the meantime I started applying for AEGD/GPR programs. I have multiple offers for AEGD/GPR programs and they want to know my decision as soon as possible.

I have an interview for1 post match Pedo position end of the month. I do not know how long they will take to decide after the interview.

Questions:

If I accept a GPR position, can I still back off before the start of the program, in case of acceptance to the pedo program?

If I back off is there a penalty?

(I am inclined towards accepting the GPR position as it is just 1 spot for pedo)

Email the pedo program, express interest and ask for your status. If no response accept gpr position and worst comes to worst if you drop the gpr I think you will be fine as you were never part of a match process. If you were in a match and you dropped out after matching their is a consequence- i hear you cant apply for a match process for x number of years.

They are taking more than 1 residents. I believe that the total number is 4. Defiantly come to interview.

Non match positions have no penalty if you withdraw other than the ire of the GPR PD. If Pedo is your end game and you get in no one will blame you for accepting it. Just tell the GPR right away.
