Just thought I'd get some input...
What is the proper way to decline a seat at a school that offered you admission if the acceptance letter doesn't directly say? Should I call, email or send a letter? Any advice?

call them or simply ignore it.

I'm going to assume you are joking about the "ignore it" part. 🙄

OP... give the school a call and let them know your intentions. Each school handles it a little differently, so they will let you know what, if anything, you need to do. Some may want you to send in a letter, others may say, "Ok, thanks." Maybe they could even ask why? The students who are already lined up on the waitlist will appreciate you letting the school know in a timely fashion.

I would say call them or write them. I don't think just ignoring the letter is a good idea though because there are people on the waiting list that could take the seat now rather than later when the school figures out that you aren't coming. Plus, ignoring the letter doesn't seem very professional to me.

Congrats on the acceptance though! I hope to be in your boat soon! 😀
