I am a post-bac (and done with my classes to boost GPA), and am now working in the lab (unpaid, but the PI will write a good letter for me n put my name on publications as / if they come ).

I notice myself lacking some motivation and realizing that GRRAHH, it takes so long, I do so much work and yet not clear how it will all come together. I am just trying to do my best, focus on the positive and keep going...

Any advice/words of encouragement?

Thank you guys, love you!

Yes, I agree with you -. I currently teach GED and ESL to low-income marginalized populations and feel really really fortunate to have these two part-time positions that also help cover my bills. And both positions through my interaction with the people and how to best serve each student has definately improved/helped me in the future as a physician.

research is a pain sometimes, I'm really thinking of switching research field, but I'll feel really bad leaving behind the PhD student I'm working with ! idk Also I'm doing it for credit this coming fall, and would look rather douchey to drop it.

I just got out of your other thread. My goodness, you are an easily saddened person.. please cheer up 🙂

thanks you are too sweet, as well. My dream is to go to CA
