Hi guys,

I'm just wondering if NYU and USC allow their applicants to defer admission to next year? 😕

Don't quote me, but I heard that schools USED to allow students to do that but they don't anymore. A year off to travel, party, whatever it sounds pretty nice huh?

I got into NYU last cycle and deferred for a year. You need to provide a good reason to Novella Jones, the associate dean of academic affairs.

I wrote her a letter, gave her a call subseuently, and explained my situation - I was working as a strategy consultant for fortune 500 pharma companies, and was helping to start up a branch office in Shanghai, China. But I'm sure more 'standard' reasons will work as well.

I deferred last year at UNLV. What's your reason of not going to NYU? Traveling?

i got accepted at the last min and didnt want to move across country in a week and try to find a place, and i had just taken my dats again and did better so i hoped to get into a west coast school, and i was currently starring in a movie at that time cause i didnt plan on getting into school for that year.

i didnt know i was going to travel but now i am so happy i didnt start school cause i got to finish the movie, make some money, live in europe, and do alot of cool things...oh and i got into sc.

its called beneath the surface...it will be in all the film festivals in 2007(cann, south by southwest, los angeles, new york,etc.) then hopefully make it to the theatres later on. its a dramedy and im the main actor

Sorry. I meant to get out Vegas and attend dental school somewhere else. UNLV SDM is getting better but I don't see myself falling under the prophecy of University of Never Leaving Vegas.
